Tom's Star Wars Lego® Collection

Welcome to my Lego® Pages.  Here I want to share my collection and share some info about my
hobby.  If you would like to ask a question or if you have something to add here, please send
me an email; tomrpdx at gmail dot com

I started collecting these Lego®sets shortly after the Star Wars series was introduced .  This
is why I have a lot of the earlier released sets.  Recently I have been adding a few sets.

Below is a search return from Peeron which was then tweaked on with info from my
collection, as well as information on future additions to my collection.

My Limited Edition Gold C-3PO MinFig

I was lucky enough to find one of these Limited Edition C-3PO MinFigs in a Tie Crawler set.  Lego put a gold finish on 10,000 of these, and then randomly added them to boxes in celebration of the 30 year anniversary of Star Wars.

There were five solid gold C-3PO MinFigs created and given away as the Grand Prize in the
"These are the droids you're looking for" promotional contest.  Click here for pictures and more info.

Lego Star Wars Maquette Sculptures

Webster's defines "maquette" (ma-'ket) as a French word meaning "a usually small preliminary model (as of a sculpture or a building)"  Maquette models are used to help visualize buildings as well as movie, video game, and comic characters.  These models are highly collected by fans.

Gentle Giant, LTD has been making maquettes for years and the company is considered one of the best at what they do.  The Star Wars Lego maquettes are the characters from the Lego Star Wars video games.  These video game characters are Lego MinFigs that you control during the game, and they have movements that the actual MinFigs are not capable of, such as twisting of the torso.  These 6" maquettes bring the characters out of the video game and onto your desk.

The only maquette that has been mass produced is the Luke Skywalker model.  The rest of these maquettes are made in a very limited numbers making them rare and very collectable.  Most can be found on eBay.  Luke is still available at shop.lego.com as of this writing.
